As the trees bend in the strong breeze
and the tears dry on my face
wondering how I lost ones embrace
my heart feeling like lead
as the pain weighs on my soul
as much as I let you in
as far as my love goes
I never thought we would fall apart
and I’d be missing you
you held me close one last time
when you said you were leaving
I wanted to cry
now your gone and I’m lost

This treasure of love
I cherish within my soul

words could never start
laying awake at night staring at the ceiling
wondering deep down

to make things turn out this way

or even explain
but our worlds became connected

Finding you standing there
Holding someone that’s not me
Wondering how could you
when you told me you cared
Now seeing that it was all a lie
Even when I told you to be honest
As you stared deep into my eyes
I should have known you would break my heart
I had a feeling you were out to hurt me
but giving you that chance to be
apart of me
As my tears fell on the floor and
You realized it was me looking back at you
